On top of that the game doesn't have any sort of modern adjustments like saving or ability to take screenshots, but if that doesn't bother you too much I can wholeheartedly recommend this blast from the past. The art is incredibly pretty, the music is really atmospheric and gaming mechanics are varying enough to make each level unique. Some people seem to claim that the game is too hard, but there is an option to adjust the difficulty level - which is a completely valid option, no matter what others say! In easy mode there's enough lives and continues to keep the game going even through the most difficult parts, even if you are a somewhat mediocre player. It was so cool to finally see the end of the game, as the version I had as a kid always froze after the first adult Simba level. ='). This game is cool. My brother and I found this game as notoriously hard as children- whether this game actually is hard or we both were slowly fnding out we were not platform gamers. My problem with this emulation is the lack of ability to use old cheat codes, as well as a lack of effort to be better. Do you have any clue how much I would have killed for a save feature? This game came out in 90s and they've had THIRTY YEARS to improve this game. Nostalgia or not. I also point this out because I still feel that the time it takes to register a control is slower than it could be. So, there's a number of unnecessary deaths based on a control not registering in time or lack of landing in just the right spot. The things is, I still like this game.
